Workplace step challenges with bonus awards for winners are a popular feature companies are using, trying to encourage their employees to be physically fit.
But they are obviously underestimating human deviousness.
The Wall Street Journal reports the company Sonic Boom Wellness, that sets up such challenges for employers, investigated some suspicious looking results.
Inventive (if wicked) employees, who apparently racked up massive numbers of steps, have been caught, or have confessed to, strapping their Fitbit, or other tracking device, to dogs, ceiling fans, hamster wheels and reciprocating saws amongst others.
Mentally agile if not physically.
